NC 12 Versus the Hurricanes

Almost a year after the devastation of Hurricane Irene, Hurricane Sandy again pounded the Outer Banks of North Carolina. In the days following, strong storms continue to batter the coast of our barrier island, complicating recovery.

This blog is just one of the efforts underway by NCDOT to keep the public informed about the progress being made to repair the storm damage and further improve the highway.
